Frequently Asked Questions
Every custom order starts with a conversation, and these are the questions we hear most often about ordering, pickup, and treats. If your question is not answered here, reach out through the contact page and we will be happy to help.
No problem at all! To get started, please fill out the custom order form. The more details you can share, the better — things like your preferred pickup date, the type and quantity of treats you're looking for, the occasion, and a brief description of the theme or color scheme.
Once we receive your form, we'll check our calendar for availability based on your pickup date and the size and complexity of your order, and we'll reach out within 24–48 hours by text or email. Feel free to send along any inspiration photos — they really help us understand your vision and confirm what we can deliver.
Once we've agreed on the details and pricing, we'll send a Venmo link or invoice for payment. We do accept cash as well, but it must be dropped off in person to secure your booking. Please note: your order isn't confirmed on our calendar until payment is received in full. After that, we get to work, and you can sit back and relax until pickup day!
The more notice, the better! We ask for a 2–3 week window so we have enough time to order supplies if needed, or even 3D print items required for your order.
If you're giving less than 2 weeks' notice, we may still be able to accommodate your order depending on timing and what's being asked, but a rush fee may apply — starting at $20 and increasing depending on timing and demand. Please note: no orders will be accepted if payment isn't received at least 1 week before the pickup date.
For the best quality, we recommend enjoying all treats within 3 days. They can be kept on the counter in a cool, dry spot for up to 1 week, in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, or in the freezer for up to 3 months in an airtight container.
To thaw your treats, remove the container and let it sit on the counter for about 2–3 hours, or until both the treats and the container have come to room temperature. Try to resist opening the container early — doing so can introduce condensation and potentially ruin your treats.
No. Because we operate under New Hampshire's cottage food laws, we bake out of our own home. All of our treats are made with regular flour, which contains gluten. And while some recipes don't include peanut butter or peanuts, we do keep them in our home for personal use, so we can't guarantee any product is free from contact with gluten or peanuts.
If you have severe allergies, we kindly ask that you consider a baker who specializes in allergen-free products, as we're not able to guarantee against cross-contamination or be responsible for any reactions.
We do plan to offer some gluten-friendly options in the future, but the same caution applies — while those items will use gluten-free ingredients, cross-contamination still can't be guaranteed.
We accept Venmo, invoice, or cash. Cash payments must be dropped off in person to secure your booking. Once we've agreed on pricing, we'll send a Venmo link or invoice — your order isn't confirmed on our calendar until payment is received in full, and payment must be received no later than 1 week before your pickup date.
If you need to cancel, you'll receive a full refund if it's more than 3 weeks before your pickup date. Cancellations made within the 3-week mark are eligible for a 50% refund, as we may have already spent money out of pocket on your order. Cancellations within 2 weeks of pickup are non-refundable.
If you need to reschedule, we're happy to push your pickup date out further as long as baking hasn't started yet. Moving your date up is possible too, but only if our availability allows.
Pickups are done at our house in Manchester. We'll reach out the day before your pickup to confirm everything is still on track and to send over the address.
Pickups are available between 2–4pm on your scheduled date — we use the morning to package your treats for optimum freshness, so we're not able to accommodate earlier pickups.
We're currently working on setting up a pickup fridge for orders that need to be collected outside that window, or in case you're running late, but that option isn't available just yet. Thanks for your understanding in the meantime!
We operate under New Hampshire's cottage food laws, which allow us to bake and sell certain homemade goods directly from our home kitchen without a commercial license. This is a legal way to run a home bakery in New Hampshire, and it's what allows us to offer the treats we do at the prices we do!
New Hampshire law requires us to say this plainly: This product is exempt from New Hampshire licensing and inspection.
We completely understand that life happens, and sometimes you simply don't have the chance to order with as much notice as you'd like. The rush fee isn't meant to be a penalty — it's a reasonable adjustment that allows us to still take on your order with short notice while being fairly compensated for the extra effort, whether that's rearranging our schedule, working extra hours, or rush-ordering supplies we wouldn't normally need on hand.
The fee starts at $20 and can increase from there, depending on a few factors: the size of your order, what we already have going on around that time, how much notice we're given before your pickup date, and whether any items need to be made or rush-ordered to accommodate your request. Because every order is different, the fee can fluctuate to reflect what it actually takes to get your order done in time.
